Hyacinth

This heavenly fragrant flower in available as both a cut flower and grown from their bulb. Either option does not compromise the magically fragrance. October onwards is this time to start thinking about preparing your bulb ready for flowering for Christmas. With a watchful eye you would reap the rewards over the festive period. However the cut flower varieties have certain times of the year that they are out of season. This is becomes more infrequent due to the Dutch commercial growers and the demand for this little number.

A single stem with tiny flowers all-round and to the tip gives a mass of colour. Colours available are purple, blue, white, soft pink and cerise pink. The most common variety is the Grape Hyacinth, which has a visual comparison to the blue bell.
A vase of hyacinths with grasses will fill any room with a warm fragrance that uplifts and feels like home.
